Boys & Girls Clubs of Gloucester County’s Woodbury Teen Center Receives National Designation as “Community Impact Program”
WOODBURY, NJ… On April 12, 2108, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Gloucester County hosted a celebration of their Woodbury Center’s recent designation as a “Community Impact Program” by the Boys and Girls Clubs of America.
In 2013, The Boys & Girls Clubs of Gloucester County opened their Woodbury Teen Center to exclusively serve area teens in and around the City of Woodbury. This was made possible when Central Baptist Church graciously made available their 2nd floor space. In 2018, the Woodbury Teen Center was awarded the official designation as a “Community Impact Program” from The Boys & Girls Clubs of America. This designation allows our Woodbury Teen Center to apply for future grant funding from the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, and to participate in any national corporate partnerships activities, all of which benefit the local area youth.
Sean Andrews, Director of Development for the Boys & Girls Club of America, presented the official certificate to Patti Withington, President & CEO of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Gloucester County, and Dr. Stanley EL, Woodbury Center Director. Mayor Jessica Floyd of Woodbury, New Jersey, also presented the Woodbury Center with a Certificate of Recognition.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Gloucester County serves the Woodbury, Paulsboro, and Glassboro areas with a variety of programs including after school activities, summer camp and daily nutrition.
